DEATH VALLEY, CA

This Expedition was conducted to explore the Rhyolite area and survey multiple abandoned mining sites.

Objectives also included entry and assessment of the Ruth Mine, including vertical access via rappel, followed by reconnaissance of the Mohawk Mine.

The environment presented unstable structures, limited light, and constrained movement, requiring disciplined navigation and management of rope systems. Emphasis was placed on access evaluation and hazard identification rather than depth or duration.
